SEND A SMILE

SEND A YELLOW ROSE

Each Convention season, Sisters send one another "yellow roses" and notes of friendship and sisterhood—all in support of the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation!

Consider making a gift to the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation in honor of a member—regardless if she's attending Convention!

Yellow Rose recipients attending Convention will receive a physical sticker to apply to their nametag. All other honorees will receive a digital yellow rose via email. Each is a reminder to that Sister of how special she is.

If you'd like to purchase a large quantity (10+) of digital yellow rose tributes and would like a quicker transaction, please download, complete, and send this spreadsheet to foundation@alphasigmatau.org. Please email or call 317-613-7573 if you have questions or need assistance.

THE STORY OF THE
YELLOW ROSE GARDEN...

The selling of yellow rose stickers, which are traditionally applied to the name badge of Convention attendees, is an homage to the notable Elliott Sisters (Edith, Meda Ray, and Betty Gail—all initiates of Omicron/Concord), who may be credited with conducting the first efforts of Foundation fundraising at national events.

The sisters, always sitting side-by-side, didn't allow their hands to be idle during the long days of Convention business. Each sat quietly, but diligently working, hand-making little yellow roses to be attached to the name badges of event attendees.

The Elliott Sisters were generous but asked for a modest contribution to purchase a rose, one for yourself and more to share, with all proceeds benefiting the Foundation.

As Convention concluded, the legacy of the Elliott Sisters endured. Decades later, we're proud to continue the Yellow Rose Garden as testament to the lasting impact of even the simplest of acts of supporting our Sisterhood and one another.
